My online name is MidnightSleeper, a nickname I choose when I was twelve and thought it meant 'those who flourish late, in the end of the day and the beginning of a new, starry night'. Thought it was poetic, cute and edgy somehow.And, as the nickname suggests, this is a den of late-blossomed sin. Abandoned creatures would be possessed by the most crimson flags, sometimes with black sparkles or pathetic lines. This is a shelter for Scary Dogs and you're the Privileged one.My current two musical obsessions are Måneskin and Sabrina Carpenter.This gal is ESL and Capricorn, which translates that my comments could lead to misinterpretations due to cultural differences/grammar sucking. I apologize beforehand and appreciate the eternal patience of the natives. Also, as a Earth Goat I like to do stuff and safe small spaces to socialize, as I'm easily overwhelmed by raunchy big Discords communities.You can find me in The Twilight Court and Cucumber Garden mainly, but I'm a lurker in many discords. You will notice the links don't work, and there is a reason behind this.After a long deliberation, I have decided to step out of the public eye due to long-term, one-sided harassment against me by a certain group within the FemPOV JAI community.The reasons are silly: rumors based on insecurities, a lack of proper communication, excessive use of DMs without real proof, and a mean-girl, high-school-type attitude. Those who have communicated with me at some point will be aware that my Discord communication is limited, as I'm pretty busy adulting, and that I actively avoid drama. It seems this only became fuel to drag my name through the mud as the first of many others, and even when I proved that every accusation was baseless once they finally reached me, there was still a need to "gain their approval" by pushing me down.I have been aggressively ignored and isolated, called a sl*t to my face, mocked, spied on, and leeched. My preset has been used to "feed" one of the big JAI creators without my permission. I've been punished for two long years over lies I am still failing to understand. Sending private information from my server and ignoring my only requirement was the last straw."Leave the JAI communities!", you will say, and fairly so. And here is where the second problem comes in, and what ultimately triggered me to step down.Outside JAI communities, I have been sexually harassed, kink-shamed, mocked because I like/go for a dark romance aesthetic, stalked, and made a victim of the delusions of several male users, "fans of IHYLL" in theory. Being a woman in this hobby is a challenge in itself, as any sign of feminity is processed as delusions of potential romance for lonely/neurodivergent users.
I am not the first, nor will I be the last. This is about many of us, prompters, and how we are forced to constantly walk the path of your missery as if it belonged to us.It's unfair, and wrong. I don't condone the recent harassment against my fellow prompters nor myself. Every single moment has killed my passion for sharing the hobby outside my personal circle.
Henceforth, I took down both IHYLL and Hunter's Nightmare. Plus, I deleted my Discord account without notifying most people, as I don't want to be dragged again to this.Does this mean I'm leaving the hobby? Nah, only MidnightSleeper leaves.
